When I was a teenager, this record was by far the strangest music in my already considerable collection of strange music. I used to put it on whenever I had a visitor, just to find out who had a similar capacity for suffering as I did. It became a very lonely adolescence.
At that time I didn’t expect that one day I would be playing with both musicians and probably with even stranger music. With Günter early on in Hannover, with Tristan much later, when he moved to Berlin. He heard me play a few times at Sowieso, where he had set up his headquarters, and recommended me to Joel Grip when Joel was looking for musicians for a new project. That became Klub Demboh, where I met Tristan every Monday (Immer Montags!) when we were both in town. I learned a lot from him during that time and I’m very grateful for all the things that came out of it.
Thank you dear Tristan and goodbye!
I’m sure you’ll still be shaking things up wherever you are now.
