I first met Marina Džukljev in 2019 at a Klub Demboh performance, when Joel Grip had invited her as a guest.
I was immediately intrigued the moment she played her first notes, just getting acquainted with the piano — there was something special in her sound.
After the performance, I knew I wanted to make music with her.
But then came the big blip, and it wasn’t until her residency at Au Topsi Pohl in April 2022 that things finally moved forward.
By chance, my longtime friend Christian Weber was visiting Berlin at the time — and the three of us clicked so well musically that we decided to form a trio.
Our first concert as a trio took place in April 2023 in Berlin, and we recorded together during that same period.
Now, I’m proud to share the result with you: our debut CD is out today!
